The 2018 Arizona Cross Country Division-1 Section-3 race was held at Crossroads Park in Gilbert on Wednesday afternoon, October 31st.
In this race only the top eight teams qualify for the State meet, but that was no problem as the Thunder easily qualified for the Arizona D1 State Championship Meet on November 10th.
DVCC was led by junior Demetrius Love (17:03), who finished in 10th place overall. Not far behind was senior Pierre Cuyeu (17:09) in 11th, junior Vincent Larente (17:14) in 14th, freshman Noah Jodon (17:18) in 17th, and junior Nicolo Perciballi (17:33) finishing things off in 22nd.
Also competing for the Thunder were senior Ceth Reeves (17:34) in 23rd and sophomore Martin Fuller (17:53) in 27th.
In the end, the boys managed to obtain a second place finish with only 74 points. However, never count the Thunder boys out when it comes to the State Meet as they tend to bring it when it counts the most.

Join the Thunder this Saturday, November 10th at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix as they attempt to win their fifth Arizona D1 State Championship title in a row. Race time is approximately 1:45 pm.
