On Wednesday October 25th, the DVCC girls returned to Crossroads Park in Gilbert for the Division-1/Southeast Sectional Meet and posted a first-place finish, with all scoring runners finishing in the top-25. The Thunder were led by senior co-Captain Brooklyn Hanania who won the race with a time of 18:39, followed by junior Dana Pivin in 3rd (19:29), freshman Teagan Kelly in 16th (21:00), with scoing completed by pair of juniors Vanessa Acedo in 21st (21:45) and Ali Collins in 22nd (21:47). Also competing were sophomore Lydia Leeman in 23rd (21:50) and freshman Emerson Rhodes in 24th (21:51). With this result, DVCC qualified for the Arizona State Championship Meet on November 4th.
