The DVCC Thunder Girls raced in the 17th-annual Desert Twilight Festival in East Mesa on the evening of September 29th. Senior Co-Captain Brooklyn Hanania placed 22nd overall in the top-billed Sweepstakes race to lead the Thunder Varsity with a time of (18:48). The Junior Varsity posted a 4th-place finish in the Large School Open race, with Co-Captain Vanessa Acedo leading the way in 4th place (21:50). Sophie Jimenez led the DVCC Freshman with a time of 25:41 in the Large School Freshman race, good enough for 34th place overall.
