On Saturday morning August 29th, the DVCC Girls kicked off their 2026 season at the 32nd Annual Chandler Invitational. In the series of class-based races, the DVCC Seniors were by Laniya Begody, who placed 65th with a time of 28:20. DVCC took third in the Juniors race, led by Kendyl Taylor in 12th (21:35). The Thunder grabbed ninth place in the Sophomore Race, led by Samantha Botzler in 29th (22:53). Giuliana Liperote finished 15th with a time of 21:36 to lead the DVCC Girls to a fourth-place finish in the 2.8-mile Freshman Race.
