The DVCC Boys travelled to Gilbert, AZ on Friday, September 5th to compete in the Western Equinox Cross Country Festival, held at Freestone Park. The DVCC Varsity runners brought home a 9th-place finish in the Championship race, led by junior Team Captain La'a Hancock, who finished in 18th place with a time of 16:26. The Thunder JV squad grabbed fourth place in the Open Race, led by junior Jesse Hancock, who finished in 7th place (18:59). In the Freshmen race, the Thunder were led by Zackary Duemler, who place 91st with a time of 24:19.
