The DVCC Boys kicked of the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st at the 30th Chandler Invitational at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler. In the series of class-based races, DVCC was led to an 11th-place finish in the Seniors race by Team Co-Captain Nolan Kirby, who placed 17th overall with a time of 17:37. The Thunder took second place in the Juniors race, led by Alex Hammond in 11th (17:19). In the Sophomore Race, La'a Hancock finished in 2nd (16:37) to lead DVCC to a first-place finish. The Thunder took third place in the Freshmen race, led by Carter Frisk, who finished 3rd overall (17:19).
