On Saturday Nov 4th, 2023, the Desert Vista Boys Cross Country team placed seventh at the 2023 Arizona State D1 Cross Country Championship. Junior Maxton Klein led the Thunder, placing 17th overall in 16:31. Next across the line was senior captain Braden Lolli in 45th (17:06), followed by junior Nolan Kirby in 47th (17:11), sophomore Alex Hammond in 59th (17:18). DVCC freshman Jacob Luecker completed the scoring with a 65th-place finish (17:22). Also competing were senior Andrew Dale in 67th (17:23) and freshman La'a Hancock in 70th (17:26).
