On Friday night September 27th, the Thunder Boys travelled to Toka Sticks GC in East Mesa to race against some of the top teams from the West Region in the 18th Annual Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival. The DVCC Varsity placed 20th in the Sweepstakes race, with Maxton Klein leading the way in 67th place (16:04). The Thunder JV took 6th place in the (combined) Large School Open race, led by Enrique Ballesteros in 13th (17:31). Carter Frisk led the DVCC Freshmen to a 3rd-place in the Large School Freshmen (1.6-mile) race, placing 3rd overall with a time of 9:27.
