On Friday night September 26th, the Thunder Boys travelled to Toka Sticks GC in East Mesa to race against some of the top teams from the West Region in the 19th Annual Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival. The DVCC Varsity placed 21st in the Sweepstakes race, with junior Santiago Araiza leading the way in 78th place (15:58). The Thunder JV took fifth place in the (combined) Large School Open race, led by Niko Maldonado in 19th place (17:52). In the Large School Freshman race, Ryan Joyner took first place overall with a time of 16:38.
