On Saturday, November 18th, DVCC raced to a fourth-place finish against the top teams from the Southwest Region at the Nike Cross Regionals (Southwest).
DVCC did not grab an automatic qualifier spot because they did not finish in the top two places; however, they did grab one of the four At-Large spots and became the first ever Arizona Boys XC Team to qualify for the Nike Cross Nationals, which will be held on December 2nd at Glendoveer GC in Portland, OR.
The squad was led by seniors Reece Donihi (15:27), Habtamu Cheney (15:30), Bryce Schmisseur (15:49), Co-Captain Aksel Laudon (16:06), and Nick Thatcher (16:06). Also competing were sophomore Sammie Van Alstine (16:07) and senior D'Angelo Piasecki (16:21).
